Why do people insist on modding their avatars? It makes no sense.

Maybe anyone who mods an avatar were dropped on their head when they were a baby? I have no clue otherwise why anyone thinks a modded avatar makes them cool and not stupid, immature and lame.

Nah I rolled off my parents’ bed as a baby and hit concrete, and I’m not that stupid. There’s something else at work here.

You know the old saying “rebel without a cause”? Well that’s what Modding the Avatar is, it’s rebelling against the terms and conditions they think they where forced to sign, although in a way you are because there is no alternative with Live or PSN or any Propriety server, I can’t play on my terms I must abide by the rules, but the rules are pretty simple and easy to follow. The thing about these modern rebels is they don’t fight for a cause they rebel against nothing, and the moment there is a consequence to their actions they cave in and beg, lie or blame that certain “friend” with mad hacking skills.
That is what we see here, a Rebel against a reasonable request. I guarantee you that if there was a forum where the only thing you couldn’t say is the word “Wombat” everyday somebody would post that word, get banned and cry unfair. It’s an interesting part of the developing psyche to be honest we need to push the limits and test them, we usually grow out of this phase before we hit our teens, obviously these people never did, or there was never a consequence to their actions when they did push past the limits.

Thats assuming these guys are actually in their teens…..and considering most COD players i’ve ever met, they’re not

Call of Duty games played? Check, Seems Racist but is inside joke Gamertag? Check. Modded Avatar? Check.
Seems like he falls into the pattern of people banned for no reason what so ever.
Please explain ‘No Reason Whatsoever’ Modding your avatar is blatantly against the Xbox LIVE TOU. http://www.xbox.com/Legal/LiveTOU What makes you think this racist little punk wasn’t using other mods or cheating? XBLET doesn’t ban you unless you deserve it, that’s why there aren’t unbans.

You must be new here.

The last line is meant to be read dripping with Sarcasm. The pattern is Call of Duty Gamer, Racist/Offensive Gamertag, Bio, Motto or in game communications and a modded avatar, lobby or cash for mods scam. Or you know the one going for the prize by hitting everything listed getting some FNC’s, and perhaps some inappropriate photos of themselves to someone who may be of the opposite gender.
Essentially put, obvious cheater and all around jerk just got banned and than they cry it was for no reason what so ever.

Maybe it’s just my monitor color settings, but does one really have to mod for that color? It doesn’t seem like an odd skin tone. But then as a pasty white chick I have never tried to make my avatar black so maybe they don’t go that dark.
Ghost
From what I recall, you can only get as ‘dark’ as a dark brown, not black, for skin on your avatar.

If I live in a country that have XBOX LIVE, can I play in the US Live? (I want to play in the us live)
DKnight1000
This isn’t really the place to ask. But I’ll answer you anyway.
X-Box Live is a global service so if you can access to it you can play anyone anywhere in the world. The catch with this is that if your like me and in Australia, your going to have terrible terrible lag for most US servers and this result in a less enjoyable experience for some games, especially the First Person Shooters where lag can mean the difference between them dying and you dying.
For Racing games, not so much as long as you post a faster time on the track you win. Even if the other cars are a little out of sync. I suggest going to the X-Box (www.xbox.com) forums and asking there and also saying which country your from can help.

You what’s really stupid, xboxlive made a turtorial video on how to change the colour of your avatar (both hair and skin).
arketiat
1) it’s against their terms of service. You agree to it when you get a gamer tag, and they clearly warn you of the consequences if you break it.
2) It’s backwards engineering that can lead to not only avatar colour changes but also gamerscore changes, tenure changes, etc. You don’t think that’s wrong?
Spokker
Clearly people want to change the color of their avatar. I wonder why they do not simply add it into the feature set.
dopey
it’s the name I find it rather disturbing that you dislike black as a colour and well the way I take it is black people aswell with your tag as it is
